They still have to physically lift the human into the air though. The more weight, the more fuel needed.

The empty weight plus fuel weight of the most common domestic jets represent 75-85% of the weight at takeoff. The variance in weight of a few humans will not have a great impact on the overall weight.

and i also think it takes into consideration the flight ticket, it's a marketing strategy to make them pay for more luggage
