Frankly it was the internet we aren't prepared for since we keep trying to use it for things it really shouldn't be

Like the internet of things (that's lead to stupid shit like a casino being robbed through its smart aquarium thermometer)

That was my favorite heist

To me that's case in point that we have developed something far more powerful than we have ever been capable of understanding at the moment, we are still learning about it.

And social media is just a symptom of the overall disease

Technology is outpacing the ability of human beings to absorb it.
