I had overheard something about theatre, I think they were attending a performance. They seem to be leaving one of the buildings there right now.
I thought it was something like that but I felt the police escort was a little extra
The Hanover Theater has adopted South High and Burncoat as part of a program. Every year we take both schools to see a performance. This year, we got to see the first act of Hadestown.
The police escort is to ensure we arrive at the theater at the same time. Moving 3000+ kids across the city is a feat in and of itself.
Just an escorted field trip because there were so many busses.
We had a theater field trip at Hanover today, Burncoat and South high school.
When my wife told me it was just the first act and a Q&A, I thought that was so lame. My immediate thought was that all the questions would be about act two.
We were all a little sad about that, too! The kids asked some good questions in the Q&A but most of the actors answers involved things in Act 2 that we hadn't seen.
I heard a lot of the kids sharing where they could pirate Act 2 on our way out of the theater lol
had no idea The Hanover could even fit that many
