I expect it would seek some amount of cover to nap. Eagles are a threat even to adults. But who knows maybe there aren't any where this fox lives and that stump is pretty high so it is safe from ground threats. No matter it's a cute picture and I don't know much about foxes so now i can enjoy watching some documentaries on them

How is nobody saying to stay the hell away from any fox you see during daylight? Especially one that seems to be unconcerned with its safety?

Sorry to be a downer but in the US if a beautiful little dude is acting like that it might be rabid. I think it’s 30,000 people a year die from rabies.

I still can’t work up the courage to watch it with my kids after not seeing it for 40 years. Too tragic. Had the book, the view master and accompanying cassette tape. When I do eventually watch it: “Dad, you didn’t cry this much after nana died.” “Keep bailing son, keep bailing.”
