We took in a pregnant stray we were feeding (thought she was already fixed, turned out she was young and hadnβt had her first heat yet). She also gave birth to two kittens. One we found a home for, and we kept her and the other kitten. Got them all fixed. Such a wonderful thing to experience.

A few of them are naturally bob-tailed, but the majority have their tails docked. It was originally because they were herding dogs, so docking their tails made it clear they were working dogs and allowed their owners to avoid a luxury tax.
Now it's just tradition, though with more countries making docking illegal, I'm sure we'll see more long, fluffy corgi tails in the future.

No they all have tails until we cut them off them. The owners will say βI didnβt choose that!β While paying the breeder for the dog.

Thatβs because people think itβs cute and pay their breeder to literally chop their tails off as puppies. One of their first experiences in the world theyβre born into is being mutilated for peoples aesthetic pleasures. Super cute stuff
