Looking for help

Hey Baltimore my name is Charles. I’m posting this out of desperation. One of my friends told me to post here. Anyway my wife and I are homeless we are staying in a place where we can get a bed for a night because it’s impossible to get a bed at a shelter unless it’s code blue. Anyway I went to get some food for us tonight with out EBT Card and found out there is nothing but 21 cents left. It should have been like 200 dollars on my card. I spoke with a rep who told me that our card was compromised and someone in California electronically stole our benefits. I can’t do anything til tomorrow. I did work today but that paid for our bed for the rest of the week and the weekend along with getting my wife her medication and we had to do laundry cause we didn’t have any more clean clothes. Right now we really need help with dinner. Could someone please help us? I hate asking but im not too sure where else to go it’s late so there is no where for me to go and ask for help. Thank you please ask if you need me to clear anything up

Can you get to 123 N Linwood? The free community fridge was stocked at 7:30 tonight. There are even some hygeine packs for the taking.

Thank you. We are already connected with the Fransciscan center,and Healthcare for The Homeless. Weinberg on Fallsway is at capacity we check for beds there and anywhere in Baltimore City daily through MOHS which all are unfortunately at capacity. We are also in the coordinated access system for long term housing placement. Our caseworker says it shouldn’t be much longer especially after my wife last health crisis. It is also extremely difficult to get us into a shelter together and with her health issues I do not feel comfortable leaving her. We usually get by through the month but due to these scammers and fraudsters they took everything we had left for the month.

I've been off all weekend and just saw this. Do you have a place to cook/prepare food? I have managed to acquire way too many canned goods (corn, peas, beans, tomatoes, etc.) and could let you have a large-ish supply. Probably have some pasta as well. Drawback is that I have no car, do not drive, and am now in process of prepping for a procedure on Wednesday (ugh!) If you have exhausted possibilities closer to you, let me know and I can meet you downstairs at my building tomorrow with a couple of bags. Be welcome to PM me if this will be any manner of use to you.

ETA: Also canned tuna and canned chicken.
