Is there a quick way to find out the square footage of my apartment with public records?

I have an upcoming escrow hearing due to insufficient heat, insulation, or both. Knowing the floor plan or square footage of the unit may give insight that could help me.

Poor planning on my part - I don’t have time to drive to X city office to request it in person and can’t wait on mail. This assumes it’s publicly available in the first place.

Maybe BGE will know? I can ask management. I’d rather not, but it would also be a bad look to ignore me. But if I can call some number in the city and find out that would be sweet.

if it’s a rental unit couldn’t one look up the address on Zillow? listings usually include s.f.

or you could measure it yourself— i think you could easily get a measurement that would suffice for your escrow hearing.

BGE online app should have an estimate of your square footage, assuming you're the one paying the utility bill. They use it to compare your usage with your neighbors with similar sized houses

If you have the entire 1st or 2nd floor of a townhouse you can get the dimensions of the footprint of the building by visiting the SDAT website and doing a Real Property Search. Then subtract out common areas such as the hallway, etc.
