Hi, im a recent grad living near fells. I’m recently single and just looking to get out of my apartment and meet folks. One of my big passions is live music, in college me and my friends would go to a dive bar to watch random unknown bands and always had a great time. Only thing is none of my friends in Bmore are really into that scene and I’d feel a little awkward going alone depending on the bar. Are there any shows/music parties that are really good for meeting people in the city? I have been to the 8x10 to see one of my favorite bands and had a blast, just wondering if there are other recommendations. Thanks

The Ottobar is more venue than bar (fantastic spot regardless) but the upstairs is a great bar that has smaller shows and good DJ sets sometimes - might be up your alley

Ottobar is both a bar and music venue. I go regularly for bar purposes more than I do for music. I’d say most of the regulars would be in a similar situation
