For years my wife and I went to Asian Taste in Hampden and ate in the dining room as our celebratory spot. With them gone and our back up Szechuan House still renovating, I’m looking for another option. Anyone recommend a good eat-in Chinese place in the area? NiHao is awesome but not my wife’s favorite so looking for another option.

Water Song Yunnan Kitchen is a good sit down place in Fed. The atmosphere is pretty casual but the food is great

Little Phoenix in Catonsville has a nice dining room and offers pretty good value for what you pay. The combination dinners have saved me so many dollars.

Orient Express (in Charles Village) >>> Ni Hao. It sounds generic, but it's where all the international Hopkins students eat and they have an extended back menu of traditional dishes

Yes, Orient Express is great--it used to have only American style Chinese food but they changed up the menu a few years ago and they also have Sichuan dishes now. It's the same owner as Red Pepper in Towson. Not sure the ambiance is what OP is looking for though.

That’s awesome. My family always went to the one on Seminary for many, many years. My mom will be so happy it’s reopening. Any idea when?
