Hello, I received a parking citation that the PABC folks told me will most likely be dropped if I go to trial. I can see a trial date for Feb 1 on the portal but I don't know the address or the time. I called the city office and they asked me to call the District court. At the district court helpline, I chose the option to speak to the traffic clerk but she said that I need to talk to the parking court but couldn't give me their number.

I'm not quite sure where should I go from here. Will they send me a letter before the trial with all the info? If anyone has gone through this process please let me know. Also any info for actual trial will also be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, don't know the info you are seeking, but kinda curious...

How much was the citation that it is worth the time and money to fight it in court?

It’s $52 but they gave it to me as my permit had expired and I had not received any email/letter that it had expired. I got the permit in August and thought that they last for a year but they have to be renewed every October. The PBAC guys said that I just need to show up and tell this to the judge and he’ll probably drop it.

You could also call 311 and ask this question. Seems like something they may know.

As someone working in the legal field and deals with courts on the daily, try speaking to someone else in the district court. Sometimes certain employees are new and don’t know, it’s worth it to try to speak to another employee. If all else fails go to the courthouse and ask, someone will have an answer.
