Yeah, the last couple of books (the ones co-written) are pale imitations of the ones that came before. And the ones that came before, as formulaic as they were, all had a certain sense of tense excitement to them.
Something is missing with the new ones, and it’s hard to put a finger on. I still get them and read them all, but it might be close to time to wrap it up.

I bought the previous one out of my local bookstore's clearance section for a few bucks, but I haven't cracked it, because I couldn't even finish "The Sentinel." It was such a joke.

I actually think the two co-written books are a big improvement over the last one that Lee wrote by himself.
