It's been quite a while, but here's what I remember definitely reading for high school:

  • Romeo and Juliet
  • Macbeth
  • The Outsiders
  • Jane Eyre
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Lord of the Flies
  • Treasure Island
  • Stoney Creek Woman

My high school English program had more of an emphasis on short stories though, versus full-length books.
