I don't really know. But I think I'd start by asking a literature professor at a university or a large library.

I tried that and they wanted me to leave it and I didn't fell comfortable doing that. Also they were a little rough handling it to. I'm sure if I lived in a better city with a better university that would be a good idea. Thanks

If you take high-res pictures of each page and post them somewhere, there'll be someone who can read the handwriting and transcribe it. It might be worth doing that before trying to get it restored anyway, just in case.

That's a great idea. Thank you. I will start there, and see what happens. Might be trash or treasure. But at the end on the day, this is golden to me.

I might even be able to take a crack at transcribing it myself, depending on how the paper/ink has survived. I'll keep my eyes open for any new posts you make about it. Can't help being a little curious now.
