No, Rich Dad Poor Dad is not the Amway guy. Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book written by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter that was first published in 1997. The book discusses the importance of financial literacy and creating wealth through investing, starting and owning businesses, as well as other methods of developing financial independence. It has sold over 32 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 51 languages. Amway, on the other hand, is a multi-level marketing company founded in 1959 that sells health, beauty, home care, and nutrition products through direct selling. While both products/brands are related to personal finance and money management, they are distinctly different from one another.
Yeah Kiyosaki is the Amway guy.
Bill Gavin, founder of Amway, helped get Robert Kiyosaki published and also had a distribution deal with Gavin that made Kiyosaki millions of dollars by forcing Amway reps to buy the tape for Rich Dad Poor Dad. His books become required reading for MLMs and he never speaks out against them for being predatory "businesses" which don't align with his views on financial literacy.
Here is a great post showing how Kiyosaki's books get used by MLMs to scam people. They hear Kiyosaki and mistakenly draw the same conclusions that you do.
I really would like to read it, going to check it out.
but still in my opinion and in some other point of you it can teach a lot
The Rich Dad Company also went bankrupt in 2012 so.
It doesn't really matter me if they went bankrupt ... and of course i know it.
I care about what the book it self can teach about personal behavior
There are already at least dozens of services that do that with business and self-help books (e.g blinkist)
I am just sharing my experience dear I aint a service , just do it in my free time
Please post lists of books in /r/booklists.
