Hi! I am looking into lasik and was wondering what the average cost is in Boston for a good quality service. Are there any promotions that you all recently used?

It’s funny. I looked into it about 20 years ago, and it was $4k.
Would imply that it got cheaper over that time.

I paid about $4k, 15 years ago at TLC, using a health savings account. My only regret was not doing it sooner.
What ever you do, DO NOT cheap out on something like this. Go to an ophthalmologist and ask who they recommend. We are talking about your eyes and there are people who have had horrible results. I believe that it has a good track record, but again make sure you go to a highly recommended place. There was one story I remember hearing where a woman had it done, it left her eyes feeling grainy and in pain. So much so she ended up taking her life because she could not continue to live like that.
It's a story, it always does the rounds.
Paid 4K at Boston vision. You can tell they do a lot of LASIK operations there (this is a good thing.) Dr. Melki was/is great. Best money I have ever spent on myself.
I'm considering them! How long ago did you get surgery and did your insurance cover part of it? I'm trying to see what their price range is
2 years ago. Didn’t dig in with insurance coverages, but paid ~$4000. I signed up for some payment plan that they offered that did 2 years interest free. Paid it off with like $150-$200/mo payments.
Again, as someone who had astigmatisms in both eyes and wore strong glasses, this was the best choice I feel I’ve made in my life in terms of self-care. Totally worth it, and i would do it again.

Paid $4000 at TLC 4 years ago. Insurance covered $1000. I believe they had a promotion going at the time but I feel like most places have "promotions" and it's just the normal price. Very happy with the results though. Worth every penny.
