Should I get an Xbox Series S or wait and get a PS5/XSX instead? This will be my first console in years, PS2 was the only one I ever had. I'm on a limited budget and consoles are super overpriced in my country like the Series S is 360 USD (roughly)

What do you have now? Do you already have a PS5? If so, a XSS is a nice little console to go alongside it. I have both a XSX and PS5 and each of them get used almost all of the time.

For me, this is the first generation where I genuinely felt like I needed to be in both ecosystems — PS for exclusive games and unique features, and Xbox for backwards compatibility and Halo.

If you are willing to wait, I think that the XSX and PS5 are definitely superior and worth every penny. That being said, if you’re on a budget and wanting to get a taste of next gen, the XSS is really good too! I had one for awhile before getting my X. For a small performance loss, you get to play every next gen game this generation without spending $500+.

PS exclusives are something to think about though too, just kind of depends which ecosystem you are more interested in! Both are legendary.
