Everyone who moves to florida is running from somthing. I read 1000 people a day are moving here. Honestly we are starting to get full. The roads can’t handle the traffic and we are quickly running out of land to build on. The aquifer is about maxed out.

I think a few towers going up in Ft. Lauderdale. That’s what every big state needs to do, stop the sprawl and increase density, build solid parks so kids have good places to gather and play

It’s not what we really expected…high car and home insurance (more than NJ), high property tax, fairly stupid people, and a Nazi governor. Weather is good but overall, not a good choice.

I feel like this a recurring thing everywhere. I’m from Denver, I’m not a native but I’ve lived here the last 15 years, since I was 13 and natives are constantly screaming about how Colorado is “full”. In a few days I’m moving to Nashville, where a few months ago I commented somewhere about how I was moving there and was met with that same crap. Where the hell am I meant to live? Realistically no one wants to live in a shithole area, where you’re going to get the cheapest rent, it’s just expensive everywhere that has even a remotely good quality of life. Not to mention almost all of employers aren’t paying us a wage that really benefits us so why get pissed at the people who are trying to make their lives better?

Drunk drivers are no joke in Florida.

I have visited 5 times in my life and every time I have seen MULTIPLE drunk drivers on each trip. Like unable to drive drunk drivers.

I was even rear ended by a group of highly intoxicated people who refused to trade insurance. Even once the cop came he took their information and sent us on our way. The dude ended up hitting the guard rail down the road and we just continued to drive.

It baffled me.

I’ve lived here for 25 years and haven’t seen seen “multiple drunk drivers” in short periods of time (ever). Just saying that might be a touch of exagg. Pretty sure Florida doesn’t produce any more drunks leaving the bar than another other US state. There’s no drunk conspiracy. Lots of other things but certainly not that.
