In Canada, various occupations have defined titles that get listed on one’s income tax form. At steel mills, one job was to hook up the cauldron of molten steel to a crane to be moved to where it would be poured out into molds. A traditionally male occupation, women started doing this job in the 1970’s or so. They objected to having to list their occupation as “hooker”.

It’s a meat packing term. Guys that cut meat off the bone of an animal. My dad used to be a “boner”. Until he cut half his pinky off. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Used to do payroll for a poultry processor. Two of their jobs were Breast Puller and Killer.
