You are astute. Not that it matters but

  1. this was my long weekend and the only opportunity I get to have daylight. I don’t see daylight during the week at home.

  2. the tree incident was/is pretty traumatizing to my family, so trying to move past this and kick starting Christmas early after thanksgiving but before Dec 1 makes everyone happy, so be it.

I’m not going to downvote you, you are welcome to your opinion.

Pretty sure many people decorate after doing the black Friday shopping. For me it was get er done before it's -20 and snowing
