I just bought a used Dell mechanical keyboard for next to nothing. It does seem to have a shorter throw and maybe less of a snap back but oh my how my fingers fly. Decades gone by.

It is the literal electrical switch that the key triggers. They are releasing one with the same tactile feeling as an old discontinued switch.

Thanks for the explanation! After I went directly to the sellers website I had a better time visualizing it after seeing a complete picture with it blown apart. Was this switch sold in conjunction with a particular brand/model of computer at the time?
