This is quite wide of a monitor, ideal for atmospheric or more "casual" games but if you're going to be doing anything fast paced like FPS games these wider monitors can be a hindrance.

Isn't that just 16:9 resolution but in 2K instead of full HD? so pretty standard

It's more about having to physically move your head to see the edges of the screen than native resolution. Most professional FPS gamers still use 24".
