Get at least cat5e and go for a Switch to connect everything to. You dont need to configure anything that way.

What's would be a recomendation for an affordable switch? Id like at least 500mbps on both consoles

To be honest I am not that into other types. Laat I used before Ubiquity was Linksys, but Netgear seems to be good too. Maybe someone else can add to this.
