I dont particularly hate them they just feel kind of lazy.

the sprigatito line is really similar to litten from the last gen.

fuecoco etc is like a fire version of totodile/crocnaw/feraligatr

and then the duck is just a water typed torchic/combusken/blaziken

This gen just feels really recycled. Still enjoying the game, but stuff like this, (or lechonk, its literally just a pig, it doesnt look like a pokemon at all) is disappointing.

Also I am so tired of bipedal anthropomorphic 3rd stage starter evolutions, they're so unimaginative.

Scarlet/Violet in general has drifted so far away from the traditional style and design of gen 1-6 of pokemon, that fans are annoyed.

I agree that it doesn't look like pokemon anymore, and I prefer the older stuff, buy i can't be bothered getting annoyed.

The game is, despite itself, pretty fun. I'm very happy I hacked my switch, however. I probably wouldn't be playing it otherwise.

You seem really angry at something not in this conversation. I gave examples of literally barely changed real world creatures that are Pokémon. I didn’t say there weren’t fantasy Pokémon. I’m saying it’s always been this way and either you are now old enough to see that it was always this way and you are angry, or you just want to whine about 3d starters because they look less intimidating that 2d versions.

I’m not here to argue with you. I’m here to argue the point that these designs are fine and you could whine about anything worth whining about. Also there are zero indications that the duck is trans in any way? Sounds like you have a personal problem with a dancing duck.
