I dont give a shit about how many polygons your game can display. I dont care about how you use RTX lighting. Graphics are no longer an impressive benchmark for a game and I cannot wait untill the market reflects that. We have incrediblly powerful machines to run these games and 99% of the studios give us mildly average gameplay with "stunning visuals".
Fuck that. Use these machines to give real improvement to video games. Give me deep learning AI for my NPCs. Give me destructible environments with amazing physics. Give me stories that arent cookie cutter AAA movie plots. Give me gameplay that I never thought possible.
Games dont need impressive graphics to be good, and impressive graphics doesnt mean the game is shit. Im just sick of seeing graphics as the main selling point of an otherwise mediocre game. Deep Rock Galactic, for example, is not a graphically impressive game by AAA standards, but has some of the most fun gameplay I've had in years.
Stop ogling and fawning over graphics and demand real innovation
