Save that comment and come back to it in a few months. This exercise, hopefully, will make you realize how much of an ass you just made yourself sound. Doing this on reddit is obviously not a big deal but people like you in real life are a giant pain in the ass.

No one is impressed by your list. No one is saying to them “oh wow, that person truly have great taste”. Well, no one beside yourself. Let people enjoy what they enjoy without trying to force them to enjoy what you enjoy because you think it’s more worthy of enjoyment.

I dunno man, I grew up in the 90's and I definitely question the musical taste of my younger self. And there are plenty of artists whom I can appreciate their significance, but I would never just sit down and listen to. Bob Marley is one. Led Zeppelin is another. Jimi Hendrix can go one way or the other.

Times change, technology changes, tastes change, and that doesn't mean anyone is wrong because they don't like the same things you do.

I think the dumbest part is that they saw "favourite artist" and assumed that meant the person didn't appreciate any of the other artists they liked.
