This is pretty accurate.

The only exception I ever found were the PX-100, which have since been discontinued, sadly. Those things were kickass for the price.

I've never heard a sennheiser under $100

I own the IE 100 Pro, IE 400 Pro, HD 560s and HD 660s

HD202 and HD202-II were good to me tho, owned both in the past.

Suprisingly I enjoyed them more than HD400 series.

Liked the sound of the px100-ii and how compact they were but I couldn't really wear them for too long bc on-ear design.

I still remember my purchase of some wired Sennheiser momentum IEMs for like 80€ and my God, very expensive for absolutely no reason. Some 20ish € IEMs of today do the same things.

HD6XX however.. Chefs kiss, my God, I love them!

Try sub-$100 Shure IEMs and then we will compare thoughts on mud

I have a set of 206s and a set of HF350bts. Best headphones i've ever used, full stop. Maybe it's the bass for you but i kinda love sennheiser's implementation. I listen to a lot of coldplay and Bengali classics, so it suits me quite a bit.

So they're doing it right? The quality gets better as the price increases? Dumb meme.

I don't hate my HD 439 they've been working great for the past 8 ish years and sounded amazing to student me in high school.

tbh the HD250BT are actually pretty good for the price (got mine for $35), they're basically an HD25 (soundwise) but with bluetooth and a cheaper plastic build.

So what’s the Sennheiser HE-1 then ?

The HD559 is borderline acceptable if you like drowing in midbass

I no longer am as poor as I used to be, but the px-100 and hd2.20s were both very good for their price at the time.

This is true for JBL products as well. Absolute garbage under $150 and then it suddenly becomes the gold standard for speakers.

I bought HD206's like a year ago and it was an underwhelming experience overall. I thank my cat for biting the cable and making me go with a pair of Shure SRH440 (and a cheap DAC afterwards)

The Sennheiser CX300 ll were decent enough for the price. They were pretty comfortable, the tuning wasn't terrible and when I gave them as a gift, the person loved them. They lasted a while so that's pretty good.

Compared to the SE215, this mud is slightly more red in colour due to the higher iron content. What impact this has on the sound is tough to say. Either way, both headphones provide a high quality mud experience.

Idk

I borderline prefer my IE100 over my IE300. Although the proprietary cable pisses me off.
