You don’t ever need to, but it’s fine if you want to. I just do it whenever I fell a slowdown.

Mine pretty much only get restarted when updated with a new OS version. I have restarted when an app crashed, but that’s rare.

Easiest way to restart the iPhone is tell Siri to restart iPhone, no more button pushing and holding. So much easier.

To answer the original OP’s question, daily or at least weekly, anytime I notice an issue. Slow cellular data service can usually be fixed by turning airplane mode on and off and cell antenna on and off, both in control center.
