This keeps happening to me. I have my AirPods a at, closed in the case, but I keep getting the pop up notification about them

How do I get rid of it

Somethings wrong with your case then, might be slightly loose which is making the AirPods turn on and connect

Put a rubber band around your case to hold it closed
