I just moved from the iPhone XS to the iPhone 13 mini (because I like smaller phones) and it feels like a downgrade :-( The side isn't stainless steel and and the camera island is like a plastic plate with 2 cameras protruding. The iPhone XS camera island was pure glass.

I wonder, how's the camera island on the iPhone 14 pro? Is it also plastic?

It’ s full glass buddy ,it feels like platic bcs of the mate finish. And the sides are painted aluminium. Don’t worry about it.

I'm not convinced. If I look at youtube videos of the iPhone 13 Pro, it's clearly a glass finish (no matte finish). Eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk-3DJpd9_U So why would they give it a matte finish on a cheaper phone... I have the feeling they're using plastic.

An ez way to find out. Just check it with your theets. And u will se it is real glass. And for pro models the back is mate and the cmaera island is clear finish. It’s a design particularity. Just like a color contrast.

You're correct. I listened to the ticking sound through my Blue Yeti and it sounds the same as the rest of the glas.

My bad.

The back glass of the Pro line is matte. That logic doesn’t hold up.

For stainless frame, you have to go to the Pro versions.
