To those saying this has never happened to you, I don't blame you. Maybe you just never pay any attention to it. A week ago I decided to observe how my 14 Pro would respond to touch, and what OP says is unfortunately right. iOS imo has some sort of responsiveness problem sometimes. I've never noticed it before until when I started paying close attention to it. So I would advise if you do not have any problem with it please don't look for it and just enjoy your phone.
