I want to buy a new iphone 14. However i don’t know how i’ll be able to tell if it’s original but im assuming since it’s the latest model so far it should be original

They would legally have to list it as Refurbished or “like new”. You won’t get sold a fake iPhone from a reputable retailer.

Buy from an Apple Store or a major retailer. Preferably an Apple Store since they don’t pull any carrier bs.

Check seal on the box. If the two pull tabs are intact (and it’s purchased from a proper store), it should be fine. Never accept the item if the seal is broken.

Check IMEI number. You should be able to enter this onto the Apple website and get a confirmation whether the phone is legitimate or not.

Where are you going to buy the phone from? If you're buying it from a carrier such as TMobile/AT&T, ect or buying it from a big store such as Walmart/Best Buy you should be fine. If you're buying it from a random person on the street, you can possibly have some issues.
