I was using Teams for a video call, the phone wasn't charging, and was on mobile data, with fairly strong network. I just wasn't expecting this to happen during a call, at least not from premium brand.

I wouldn’t jump to blaming the phone.
Look at the version history of Teams… they release a bug fix update twice a week… you’d think at some point they’d run out of bugs, right? Nope.
There’s something not very good about that app that probably makes it run very inefficiently generating a lot of heat.

All phones are susceptible to heat since they don't have fans inside. 100 C/212 F is typically the maximum limit for safe internal temperatures, and your phone probably hit it.
Do you really want your premium brand phone burning up its battery and shortening its life? By that point, it had already stopped charging and slowed the processor down to try to lower its temperature, but that wasn't enough.
