Mine is showing 16.1 and up to date
Interesting. Maybe try a network settings reset, or a hard restart.
I have the14 pro max and I have all 3 Carries and have not seen sos .. yet
+1 for the reset network settings suggestion
Tried that and no go unfortunately
I don’t know how long it’s been going on for you, but mine has been acting up the past four days. When mine was showing SOS, I had to contact Verizon to fix it. They had to reactivate my eSIM. I’m still having problems though and can only make or receive calls while in airplane mode using Wi-Fi.

Is your phone updated? I had this problem on a 14 pro max, I updated to 16.0.3 I believe and it stopped immediately
