I have an iPhone 12 that is almost two years old. The battery health is now 76% percent. Other than the battery, the machine works great. I think I will keep this phone for another two years or so. I wonder if it is worth changing the battery with Apple, a 3rd party service provider, or any other options. I don't know how much each option is worth and what effect it has when I trade the iPhone 12 in for the new one when it comes.

p.s. I am in Mainland China if that matters for the service options.

Do you have Apple Service or AASP? If so, replace the battery with them.

The most notable thing about the 12 was that the battery life was ass. I don’t think keeping it for two more years is going to be much fun.

My wallet may disagree with the iPhone replacement plan

I get that. 76% is already below the threshold for replacement recommendations. If you’re keeping the device, it’s what you’ll be doing then.
