you need the latest version of itunes, you can download it from the microsoft store or apples website

Yes, with iTunes but I use CopyTrans Manager because it's easier.

ITunes sucks.
I use a music player app called Evermusic https://apps.apple.com/at/app/evermusic-musik-herunterladen/id885367198
You can transfer music via web browser to the phone and back again to the pc if you want

No need to use itunes if you don’t want to use Apple Music for playback. I use VLC’s Wifi sharing to transfer my MP3 into the VLC app.

you have to put them in itunes first, then you can transfer to iPhone
