Bought an IPhone 14 back in October and ever since it feels hot to touch on the back and sides when doing normal tasks. Within 5 minutes of streaming anything it gets extremely warm but never to the point it shuts down and it stays cool while charging. Is it possibly something that might be worth bringing back in or normal for them to get that warm when doing things?

Jokes aside it's normal.. unless it gives an error that it's too hot and disables usage until some time while it cools off which usually happens if you leave the iphone in the sun in your car while gps tracking...
It's passively cooling itself so don't worry it's working like a hand warmer for you while maintaining it's temperature.
If you still have doubts take it to apple store and a temperature monitoring device with you and show it to a genius....
He will probably send you back but it will give you peace of mind 🕊

My iphone 12 never gets hot except from using while charging, so if your 14 is getting hot from solely using it, then definitely get it checked out as that is not normal

If you can replace it i would. It’s not suppose to be that warm. Generally it runs cool from what people have said

My iPhone 13 gets hot if I keep it running games in the foreground for like 30 minutes, in the Apple official silicon case. It takes its time cooling down after that.

A bit of mobile data + GPS or anything else that uses up battery quickly will cause it to heat up. What's your battery life really?
