Why did they remove the search bar with ios 16.2?

There was no reason to get rid of the tap search bar when you swipe right, i keep opening up my pictures which is another thing I absolutely dont care about. Stop showing me random pictures from months ago, i just want a functioning search bar that doesnt try to autofill based on your first letter, and then deletes that first letter if you keep typing

Why not just swipe down anywhere on the Home Screen? You don’t have to scroll all the way to the left first. In 16 apple even put a little search label right above the dock since many people didn’t know about swiping down.

You can click the dots on the homescreen the search opens up.
