My brothers iPhone seemed to have been hacked and is being controlled remotely. It started when his flashlight was randomly turning on and has evolved into someone completely swiping and opening apps while he is using it. Video link included at the bottom, the controller tries to open Duo Mobile, presumably to get a MFA code for a login.
Additionally for my iPhone 14 pro the flashlight issue is happening but no one has been able to take full remote control. For context we are from the United States, but are currently visiting India and have been here for 4 days, we’ve connected to our rental apartments WiFi which we believe may have been responsible.
Ive searched Apple forums and no one believes remote control is possible, but the video speaks for itself.
Is it possible we’ve found a major security hole?

Did you install any configuration profiles on it? It’s the only way an iOS device can be compromised. Check under Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Delete any installed profiles you see there.
Otherwise it’s probably a faulty screen.
