Is there a way to tell the difference in these phones from the back? I use this method to gauge how old people’s mirror selfies are on Tinder. As crazy as it sounds, this method is insanely effective. People with iPhone 6S (and even iPhone 8/X) profile pictures usually look different, be it less in shape, more wrinkly, etc.

I can easily tell the difference in iPhones from iPhone 6S-11 Pro (excluding iPhone 8/SE and iPhone X/XS), but all Pro models from 12 onward look the same from the back to me.

Also look for exclusive colors, pacific blue on 12 pro, sierra blue on 13 pro, and purple or space black on 14 pro

Yep! Also you can only really tell with a close look but the flash on the 14 pro is different from the others, with a bunch of rings round the inside instead of the usual 4quadrants in other iphones flashes.

True, but I’ve found still that most people have iPhones that have been bought within the past 3 years so it still helps weed out people who are in denial about their appearance.
