Go down Coles until you are past where the overpass is and there are a lot of murals in that area. Great if you are looking for an urban slightly gritty feel.

Around the corner from super buy rite there's a large graffiti mural that says "greetings from jersey city". It's behind the Lukoil gas station on Erie and 12th street

Lincoln Park by the fountain can be quite nice.

I’d also walk around the alleyway behind JC ECO cleaners as there are a ton of murals there as well.

Sticking with Lincoln Park, there are a number of little lakeside benches, sculptures, bridges and band shells that could be nice for backdrops. Take a lap and you'll find a number of good spots!

The Bergen Arches abandoned railway tunnel… if that's your vibe.

Seconding…and if you cross over to the expanded part/bird walk place, you can get dramatic shots by the Hackensack River with big abandoned factory in the background.

might not be everyone's vibe but i personally always liked the view from the top of the hill at Sip & JFK. The LeFrak lighthouse and Colgate Clock could also be neat backgrounds i guess.
