good result hopefully but the plan and execution was insane:

Step 1: rip up the existing pavement in preparation for the repaving

Step 2: wait 2 years

Step 3: repave

Can someone explain why we had to drive over a landscape resembling the surface of the moon for 2 years instead of them just repaving the next week?
