Cardiologist

Hi. Looking for solid recommendationso for a cardiologist that is affiliated with Englewood hospital or Hackensack. Been having a weird chest pain and dizziness. Want to get it checked out. Looking for a doctor with experience and good bedside manner.....and not just a minute or two consultation. Merci.

dr kohan or dr baruchin are both very excellent heart docs.

I do not know if they are affiliated with either but they are both in JC, can look em up and see what their deal is.

“Weird chest pain” is not something you take care of when it’s convenient. ANY er can flag you if you’re in need of immediate attention. (Sorry, my cardio is in Newark). He is the best, however.

Dr. Preston Hupart is a friend and brainiac of a cardiologist. He’s is The Heights and practices in Hackensack, I believe. Good luck and please take care of yourself. If you could post and update in the near future, we can all stop worrying about you and resume complaining about 4th quarter property tax increases, crappy schools and lack of a solid bagel purveyor.

How old are you? If below 40 and are/were fairly active, it may be low iron low hemoglobin as well. Yep, happened to me. Symptoms matched “active angina” perfectly so thought heart related but no.

Dr Haroon Faraz. He has several affiliations and offices, I saw him last in Hackensack. When I asked a relative who works at Hoboken Hospital for a recommendation I was told he was very highly thought of by the staff.

Highly recommend that you report to the ED. This is not an outpatient workup until emergent conditions are ruled out. You need to report to the ED, obtain EKG and troponin markers.

dr. robert altman in berkeley heights is excellent, and will talk through issues with you. he is affiliated with Hackensack.
