Probably to discourage people from parking. They have also gotten cute and started ticketing for permits in the area so be careful. The nearby streets all have mon./thurs. or tues./friday schedules still, even though they were supposed to be once a week by now...

The street we live on is cleaned 4 times a week and is still filthy. Residents don't seem to give a shit about littering their own neighborhood. If they move to once a week cleaning it will be like London during the plague.

Part of the problem is the sweepers literally just push the garbage down the street and do nothing.

Yeah, I've seen that. I feel that within the next three years this whole area is going to be residential parking.

They need to improve mass transit in the area... sometimes I have to wait 20 minutes just to catch a bus.

Well, you could always do what I do and wait 40 minutes for a Via.
