Would any of the fire houses accept them as donations? Seems like the only place that could use them.

Most fire stations here would not take em for reasons like liability and differing codes/standards. Big time liability.

But there are plenty of online organizations that help donate gear to stations in 3rd world countries with more relaxed standards and greater need.
