Is that 7.2 inches around what looks like Blue Hills Reservation accurate? If so, that's some crazy local variation.

route 2 and 202 are the same road for a few miles west of Gardner.

I plowed snow for almost 40 years in New Hampshire and in the last 10 years that I worked that snow rain line continue to move north more and more. But it's nice to see with this storm it's exactly where it used to be for decades right at 495 before you cross into New Hampshire. It was always sleet just before that and then snow into Salem

From a local perspective, I totally agree with you. However, the map software likely considers Rt. 202 to be more major since it's a federal route. U.S. Rt. 202 is also way longer than MA-Rt 2.

I live in Worcester off of lake ave and we got 6 inches. Wet slush but it mostly rained on my street. Made the stuff heavy to shovel but only went out once with the family and got it done quickly. I’m pretty sure about 2 miles north in this same city people got over a foot. Crazy.

I’ve never been closer to such a drastic difference in snowfall. I’m downtown and it snowed a lot but only 6 inches accumulated. 5 minutes down the steeet they got 20+ inches lol
