I bring out our feeders every morning and there's always a mad dash of about 10-15 turkeys coming out of the woods for some seeds.

Yup. IIUC they were thought to be very different, then the only difference was that bird pelvises (pelvi?) were slightly different from theropod pelvises. Then even that difference was reconsidered out of existence.

PS -- Diplodocus and Brontosaurus are back, too, after being reclassified into oblivion most of my adult life. I missed them. :)
