This is an over-reaction. You can get into any restaurant in town without reservations, you just can't expect to between 5-10pm. Eat early or late, you're fine. Or better yet, pack a picnic for the common, its fucking beautiful year-round but especially when the maples are turning.

Not really an overreaction given how nuts it was this past weekend, but there are more street options this year from local business and if you venture a couple blocks south on Lafayette there are some less crowded spots.
