Personally I think ~~Massasoit~~ Thomas Little Shell should just be replaced by a stylized image of Casey Affleck from the SNL Dunks commercial.

That's not Massasoitt.
It's Thomas Little Shell, an Ojibwe Chippewa Chief from Montana.
"The current form of the 1780 seal was adopted in 1890, replacing the Massachusetts Indian with a composite. The composite's head was taken from a Chippewa chief in Montana."
