Yes I know it's important to pay but I just wonder since my income is not much higher than the current one, but why the premium can be triple ? And that's the cheapest one they can offer me. I looked for other plans and it can be up to $500
If the numbers in your post are correct. your weekly income has almost doubled.
Yes I take home around $1000 for my full-time paycheck. Hm, wow I didn't realize it can take a huhe increase in premium just by that. But thank you for pointing tjat ou
If I did the math right, you’re grossing an extra $1,250/month.
If you want to save money, pick a plan with worse benefits (higher deductible, lower maximum coverage, etc.) and hope you don’t need it.
You can also reduce your income but that’s going to be counterproductive. Having less money so you can pay less doesn’t really make sense.
Thank you for your advice. I guess I understand how I got that premium. Appreciate your input! Have a nice day
Welcome to America. 😭
Yup silly me thinking if I work more hours, making a little bit more , it will get better. But no, car bills, insurance bills, gas, grocery increase etc 😭😭😭😭
now that you are full time you may be able to get insurance through your employer.
I pay $1,996.00 to Tufts a month. Welcome to my world.
Does your company offer health insurance now that you are full time. Maybe that is an option

Oh no I don't complain. I just have a question. Why do you think I barely pay tax? I work and pay tax like everyone else. However, as you know everything increases now, it's better to know why you pay for something, right? But thank you for your comment .

I’m 100% native. I was born here, and my insurance is four times that.

Most of us pay a lot more than $286/mo. Health insurance is expensive. Very expensive. Without it, some have lost their whole life savings, their home, and been left with crushing debt. Pay it.
