The age 26 rule doesn't apply to Masshealth. He should report the change that you are no longer part of his household and remove you so you can apply on your own with your spouse, unless they have other insurance they are adding you to.

I deleted my previous comment - I concur that the 26 yr rule doesn't apply to medicaid. Your dad will need to report the change. You can seek your own coverage with or without your spouse.

He’s still on his parents insurance and it would be silly to get off- I can always go on my own plan I just would prefer to stay on his since it’s easier

It's inappropriate for your dad to apply for Medicaid for an adult who he isn't married to or doesn't claim as a dependent.
